Will Oak Park Fine Itself for Not Shoveling ?
commentary by Ed Vincent

The photo above shows a well shoveled block in Oak Park, like
the majority that we have seen.  There have been some notable
acceptions though, some worth mentioning.  For several days
the Chase bank at Madison and Oak Park Ave was noted to
have not shoveled their walk and photos below show an
area owned by the village and has not been cleaned in over a
week.  Have a look at the law below:

This is a village owned parking lot at South Blvd and Kenilworth
Avenue and side walk belongs to the village.

The Village of Oak Park has not shoveled their own sidewalk
in over
a week and this is an area used by commuters to get to the two trains in town.  Last year when something like this happened to the Oak Park Parks the Village issued them a
fine for not shoveling.  I guess the Parks' Board must be too
busy charging citizens with criminal trespass (
Dr. Les Golden charged and taken to court for criminal trespass) to notice this.....
