District 39 Has Its Final Meeting, Disperses Funds, and Votes Itself Out of Existence.

District 39 Township Board Amends Motions and Moves to End Its Function
         Under William Sullivan's Leadership.
(edited video from 39 min to 3)

December 18, 2007
report by Ed Vincent

It was a cold wintery night that the District 39 Board gathered to end its very existence and save taxpayers money.  The move also freed up funds to be controlled locally with hometown
supervision and lessen chances for complex situations in the future.  The motion to both clean up the doings of the Board
and then ends its very existence was much the work of Oak  Park's very own William Sullivan.  Mr. Sullivan was assisted in
his efforts by Trustee Lou Angeloni from Berwyn (
1.5 years service), and Trustee Maureen Sherwood Carroll from Cicero
(
7 years service).

The meeting only lasted some 39 minutes, as motions for amended actions were made, no objections entered, and an
outcome worked on for a long time came to a conclusion.

All were praised for the thoughtful work and dedication to
all of the taxpayers and children in the three towns and
President William Sullivan was awarded a plaque for his leadership and efforts.
